What is Student Design?

Student Design is a print and web design agency with a unique concept. Working with student designers, Student Design's aim is two fold. We look to provide clients of all types and sizes with high quality, uniquely created work provided by the student designers that work for us. By providing this work to our designers we help them gain experience, further their ability and give them valuable material to add to their portfolio. If you are a current, recent graduate or young designer, are a passionate and dedicated designer and would like to put you skills to use while earning money, building your portfolio and gaining valuable experience then we invite you to apply to join our team of talented designers.

What could I earn?

Potential earnings differ from project to project and depend on several different factors. Before agreeing to work on a project you will be told exactly what you will earn, but it is also important to remember the unseen gain in terms of experience and portfolio value.

• Website Design : £150 +
• Website and E-Commerce Development : £350 +
• Flash Design : £50 +
• Print Design : £50 +

So how does it work?

Once you have successfully applied and been approved, working on a project for us is easy. New project notifications, along with details of how to apply for that project will be sent to your inbox on a regular basis. Alternatively you can check the Current Projects page on the site where details of each job will be listed along with details of long term projects and placements available to apply for.

Once you have been assigned a project, you will be required to fill out a simple project contract before you can begin. Part of your agreed payment will be sent to you when you start work with the remaining payment sent when you have completed the work.

Throughout the project you will be in direct contact with an experienced project manager who will provide you with all the materials needed to complete the project and will be the person you send work to and receive alternation notes and feedback from. In most cases you will not need to deal with the client directly making the whole process easier.

Who will I be working with?

It could be anyone. Our designers often work with individuals, artists, fashion designers, new businesses, exisiting businesses and some of our top designers having done work for major names such as Ogilvy, Oxfam, Radio 1, The Sun Newspaper Group, BP, DHL to name but a few.

Each project our designers work on presents its own challenges and opportunities and at the end of a project all work can be included in the designer's portfolio so they can benefit in the future from the experience they have gained.

Like any agency we like to reward our designers who do exceptional work by placing them with bigger name clients or offering them permanent placements. This will be with with Student Design or some of the clients we have long term contracts with. In this way our designers have a real chance to further their design career.
