Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do you work with students?
A: Students represent the future of global creative talent. By linking our designers with clients we can make this high level of creativity along with the dedication, passion and skill found in all our designers available to clients looking for high quality affordable design solutions. On the other side, work helps give our designers valuable experience and keeps them at the cutting edge of design.
Q: How qualified are the students that work for you?
A: All our designers will be or will have in the last 5 years worked on an accredited design or design related course or will have relevant experience in a professional design environment. What is most important to us is the quality of work our designers create. On application all designers are asked to submit a portfolio of the work and a current CV. This work is carefully vetted for quality, and we also look for relevant design experience within the designer's CV. At the end of this process only the best designers will be given a place on our design team. Once part of the team our designer's work is constantly monitored as well as their performance on design projects so we can spot any lapse in quality of work or professionalism.
Q: How do I know I'm getting top quality work?
A: In addition to strict application requirements, clients are invited to take an active role when we select a designer they want to work with. All of our designers work is available to view in the Portfolio and their CV's are available on request. All projects will be overseen by an experienced project manager, available by phone and email, to ensure work progress goes smoothly.
Q: Why are your prices lower than other agencies/designers I have contacted?
A: Our prices are not a reflection of the quality of our work, instead it is a reflection of our strong belief in providing our clients with work at a fair and affordable price. We don't believe in taking large "cuts" in the way that some agencies do, and this combines with our relatively small overheads mean that we can pass on low prices to our clients.
Q: What do I do if I am not happy?
A: We want to know if you do not think you have received the high level of service we promise to offer you. You should raise any concerns you have with the project manager who will work to resolve any problems quickly and with minimal disruption.
Q: What if the designer walks off the job?
A: Very occassionally a designer may be unable to complete a project they have been assigned. If this is the case a client need not worry. As well as a wide range of freelance designers we have a specialist designer and web engineer that are on call at all times to assist our freelancers. The client will be informed of the situation and the project will be passed to a new designer within 48 hours at no extra cost and no hassle to the client. Although there may be a small delay to the work as a result this will be kept to a minimum and any significant delay will be compensated with a discount on the final payment.
