Unsuitable Content Policy Document (Version 1.1 06/06/07)
Introduction
These guidelines are designed to protect the reputation and liability of Student Design Ltd, its Directors, Clients, Sponsors, Advertisers, Staff and Designers.
These guidelines should be adhered to at all times, unless expressly directed otherwise by senior company management and form a legally binding part of all project service contracts.
Pornographic Content
Student Design upholds a strict policy concerning all types of pornographic design (real or animated), and will NOT accept projects that contain it.
As an exception the Company will consider accepting work from the exceptions listed below. Each project will be considered on an individual basis and any decision made by Student Design is final.
1 Some forms of soft-core pornographic material in the format found in mainstream gentlemen’s and female’s magazines.
2 Advertising material for Adult products of the sorts available from reputable mainstream outlets, including adverts directly for adult product merchants.
In all cases where models are used within the accepted designs, photos MUST be taken by a reputable agency, with a written guarantee that the model used is above the legal age allowed.
In all cases unless otherwise stated, the projects will not be included in the Student Design portfolio, also no references to Student Design will be made on the site.
Prostitution and Escort Services
Student Design will not accept any design work that promotes prostitution and escort services in a positive way or sights that advertise the services of such individuals.
Weapons
Student Design will not accept any design work promoting dangerous weapons in a positive way.
However, it would consider accepting design material if it is related to a fully legal, regulated and licensed sport. Each project would be considered on an individual basis, and any decision made my Student Design is final.
Violence
Student Design will not accept any design work that promotes acts of violence, or details of a violent act.
However, it would consider accepting material that related to:
1 A fully legal, regulated and licensed sporting activity, for example boxing, wrestling etc.
2 A project documenting historical fact, for example acts of war etc.
Each project would be considered on an individual basis, and any decision made by Student Design would be final.
Drugs and the drug culture
Student Design will not accept any design material that promotes the either the taking of, or the illegal sale of drugs, however it would consider accepting material that fully endorsed the dangers of the drug culture, for example an advertising campaign aimed at vulnerable target groups. Each project would be considered on an individual basis, and any decision made by Student Design would be final.
Discrimination
Under no circumstances will Student Design accept any design work that discriminates or promotes discrimination against any individual or group.
Illegal Behaviour
Student Design will not accept any design work that condones or promotes any form of illegal behaviour, however, it would consider accepting material aimed at a target group to discourage any form of illegal act being committed, for example an advertising campaign endorsed by the police. Each project would be considered on an individual basis, and any decision made by Student Design would be final.
Final Disclaimer
Student Design reserves the right to refuse any work for any reason, without giving this reason to client or sales agent.
